The All-New Volkswagen ID.4 Is Here

The highly anticipated next instalment of the ID range, VW’s new ID.4 electric SUV, is now available to order as a special First Edition model.

With an impressive range of 310 miles and a price of around £40,800 (which can be reduced with the government EV grant), there’s lots to love about Volkswagen’s newest ID family member...

A New Generation Of Electric

The eagerly awaited SUV is the second model built on the brand’s EV-dedicated MEB electric architecture. This follows the ID.3 hatchback that was launched last year.

In the future, the ID.4 will be available in rear-drive single-motor and four-wheel-drive dual-motor forms and with a range of battery sizes, but the First Edition will be offered only in rear-drive form with a 77kWh battery.

The new ID.4 First Edition also features a 125kW rapid-charging unit, which can charge the battery up to 199 miles of range in just 30 minutes.

Excellent Performance

As a crossover SUV that’s also fully electric, the ID.4 comes with a larger presence on the road, the ability to tackle tougher terrain and all-round outstanding efficiency.

Volkswagen are transforming what it means to make the switch. The battery delivers an official range of 310 miles, while the motor on the rear axle produces 201bhp and 229lb ft of torque.

It’s also capable of going from 0-62mph in a quick 8.2 seconds, whilst reaching a top speed of 99mph.

Outstanding Design

The First Edition models of the ID.4 feature several exclusive design features, including special badges, neutral colour interior highlights and a choice of four exterior colours.

Standard kit offered with the First Edition includes 20-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, tinted rear windows and a high-resolution reversing camera.

The interior features a state-of-the-art 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated seats, a heated steering wheel and a variety of 30 colours to choose from for ambient lighting.

The ID.4 is also the first electric Volkswagen that can be fitted with a tow bar, with it able to pull trailers weighing up to 1000kg.

Orders for the standard ID.4 model line-up will begin next year, once the First Edition variants have all been delivered. You can stay tuned for updates on this, right here in our newsroom.
