Hyundai Confirms UK Pricing, Specification For New IONIQ 9
Hyundai has revealed pricing for the new IONIQ 9 ahead of the car reaching showrooms later in the year.
The IONIQ 9 will look to follow in the footsteps of the award-winning IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models, and will take up the mantle of being Hyundai’s flagship EV, going up against the likes of the Kia EV9.
As with the Kia, the IONIQ 9 will be available as a seven-seater, but will also offer a different seating arrangement that seats six in Calligraphy-spec.
This seating arrangement features two seats in the second row with space between to access row three, with both of those seats being able to rotate when the car is parked to face the rear.
Although all models will come with a 110kWh battery, there will be a choice of three different powertrains across the range with a 215hp option in rear-wheel drive, a 302hp all-wheel drive option and a top-spec 421hp all-wheel drive variant.
Pricing for the IONIQ 9 will start from £64,995 for Premium-spec cars, which come with the 215hp powertrain, with all other models only available with all-wheel drive.
Mid-range Ultimate-specs are available from £73,495 with the 302hp powertrain, with Calligraphy-spec cars starting at £75,795.
Although only offered with all-wheel drive, Calligraphy-spec cars are offered with either of the two more powerful powertrains.
Fast charging will be offered across the range, with the ability to charge from 10-80% in under half an hour.
