BYD Recognised At Autotrader Awards

Despite still being relative newcomers to the UK market, BYD has been named as ‘Most Loved Brand’ at the 2025 Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards.

The awards were voted for by more than 220,000 real-world car owners as opposed to a group of motoring experts, with BYD taking the award ahead of Porsche and MINI.

In total, BYD was shortlisted across six awards which included ‘Best Value Brand’, ‘Car Brand with Best Tech’ and ‘Best Value New Car’.

BYD launched in the UK in March 2023 but has already brought six cars to market, including the new Dolphin Surf, which is the cheapest model in the current range.

“It is a huge honour for everyone at BYD to be voted the nation’s ‘Most Loved Brand’, and the fact it’s been voted for by real-world car owners makes it even more meaningful,” Steve Beattie, Sales and Marketing Director, BYD UK, said.

“BYD’s growth has been rapid and I’m extremely proud of our achievements; it’s amazing to see the hard work of our UK and retailer teams coming to fruition.”

Vertu currently operates two BYD sites in Gloucester and Worcester.
