BYD To Debut Premium Brand At Goodwood

BYD has confirmed that it will give a UK debut to its premium DENZA brand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.
DENZA was originally created as a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz before BYD took sole control in 2024 and is due to arrive in the UK for the start of 2026 when a number of existing models will be made available for sale.
Three vehicles will appear at Goodwood headlined by the Z9GT, a high-performance sports fastback that is available both as a pure-electric model or a Super DM plug-in hybrid.
The Z9 GT is built around a new platform that has been designed for the DENZA brand and which brings with it a number of unique functions – such as the ability for a car to ‘crab walk’ in tight spaces.
Alongside the Z9 GT, which would rival models like the Porsche Panamera, DENZA will also show off the D9 MPV and the B5 SUV at Goodwood to provide a full flavour of what customers can expect to see once the brand officially launches.
“We’re thrilled to be introducing DENZA to UK customers, especially at the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed,” Executive Vice President of BYD Stella Li said.
“This is a brand that has always had its roots in European design in particular, and we’re confident that British car enthusiasts will find inspiration in how DENZA blends that influence with our sophisticated technologies, the finest craftsmanship and, for the first time in this segment, a true focus on efficient, sustainable new-energy powertrains.”
