Citroen has revealed a number of updates to the award-winning Grand C4 SpaceTourer range.
These include a streamlined trim and engine lineup, meaning each model will now come with some highly desirable kit as standard.
The Grand C4 SpaceTourer has had a successful year, having been named DieselCar and EcoCar Best MPV for 2021, Best Used MPV at the WhatCar? Used Car of the Year Awards 2021 and Best Used MPV at the Auto Express Used Car Awards 2021. So, what exactly has changed? Read on to find out.
Updated Trims and Engines
The new models will go into production in October 2021 and will see a number of enhancements, resulting in a streamlined range that is more focused on the most popular, higher-spec versions of the current lineup.
The new models will only be available in the two most popular versions; Sense and Shine . The entry-level Live trim will no longer be available. This is a move that has been driven purely by customer demand; with 90% of buyers ordering the Sense and Shine trims - and 60% of these customers opting for the range-topping Shine specification.
Both Sense and Shine trims will be available in a choice of efficient petrol and diesel engine options, with manual or automatic transmission.
Sense Trim
Sense models will come well kitted out as standard. You can expect 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted side windows, integrated aluminium roof bars, 3D-effect rear lights, and a reversing camera to help out during tricky manoeuvres. Once inside, you ll find a 12-inch Panoramic HD central display, a 7-inch Touch Drive interface with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, and Citroen Connect Nav which comes with three years of live traffic updates.
All models feature a number of advanced safety systems, such as Active Safety Brake with Forward Collision Warning, Driver Attention Alert, Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation, and tyre pressure monitoring.
Shine Trim
The top-level Shine trim will have the addition of a panoramic sunroof, black door mirrors, and Xenon Intelligent Beam headlights which automatically dip depending on environmental factors, to prevent oncoming road users from being dazzled.
Shine models also benefit from a number of innovative driver assistance systems such as; active lane departure warning, active cruise control with speed limiter, blind-spot monitoring, and park assist.
