CUPRA has given an indication of what to expect from future models after revealing the Tindaya Showcar at the IAA Mobility 2025 event in Munich.

The car has been designed to around the idea of ‘No Drivers, No CUPRA’, with an emphasis on creating a model that is focused on providing the best possible experience for the driver.

"The CUPRA Tindaya Showcar is not a dream, not even an ambition,” Markus Haupt, Interim CEO of CUPRA said. “This is our CUPRA statement, and it’s going to be a reality.

“While many move away from the driver, we double down on what matters most – the connection behind the wheel. Our focus will always be on the emotion of driving."

The Tindaya, named after a mountain on the island of Fuerteventura, features aggressive SUV styling that would make it the largest model in the CUPRA range.

The interior of the car features a gaming-inspired steering wheel that is at the heart of a sculpted dashboard with a 24 inch wraparound display and an elevated centre console running through the passenger space – which is set up in 2+2 configuration.

With it unlikely that the Tindaya would appear in production form for a number of years, no information on powertrains have been officially revealed, although it is reported that CUPRA is working on a range-extender that would make the model capable of the longest range of any CUPRA to date.
