The CUPRA Tavascan will receive an update for 2026, the most significant of which is the introduction of a new entry-point to the range that will likely lower the starting price.

A relatively recent addition to the Spanish marque’s fast-growing range, the electric Tavascan is already undergoing a mid-cycle update, though the physical changes to the stylish SUV-coupe are very minor.

Instead, the biggest new development is the addition of a new entry-level 58kWh battery to join the existing 77kWh unit.

Generating 187bhp, the Tavascan 58kWh is capable of up to 270-miles of WLTP range and can be topped up from 10-80 per cent at a rapid charger in under 30-minutes.

In addition to the new base trim, the Tavascan also gets a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster.

The revised steering wheel now features physical buttons after feedback from customers, while the screen housing the dials grows from 5.3-inches to 10.25-inches.

Other changes include electronically controllable air vents and the option of an enhanced Sennheiser sound system. The Tavascan now also offers Vehicle-to-load (V2L), digital keys, one-pedal driving and launch control.
