CUPRA has teased the upcoming Raval model after revealing images of a camouflaged pre-production version of the car.

The Raval is due to arrive in showrooms next year as the latest addition to CUPRA’s all-electric line-up and will be based on Volkswagen’s new MEB+ platform.

The new model will be the first launched as part of the Electric Urban Car family announced earlier this year by Volkswagen, which will also include the Volkswagen ID. Polo and the Skoda Epiq.

The compact Raval has been designed with city life in mind  and is set to be launched with three variants powered by 155kW or 166kW batteries.

“The CUPRA Raval embodies everything that CUPRA stands for, from driver-first emotion to bold design and outstanding performance,” Markus Haupt, CEO of CUPRA, said.

“It’s a car that is set to shape the next era of electric mobility, making EVs accessible to a new generation. Designed, developed and soon to be produced in Martorell, the CUPRA Raval represents our commitment to electrification.

“As the first model to launch from the Electric Urban Car Family, a project we’re proud to lead for the Volkswagen Group, it also confirms our company’s position as an automotive powerhouse.”
