Dacia has opened the order books for the 2026 version of the all-electric Spring, which will benefit from manufacturer discounts that strengthen its position as the cheapest new EV on sale in the UK.
Whilst Dacia isn’t part of the Electric Car Grant, the manufacturer will offer a saving of £3,750 against the Spring, which means prices will start from just £12,240 for the 70hp variant.
A larger 100hp powertrain will also benefit from the same discount, and will now start from £13,240 as a result of the Dacia grant.
The more powerful engines will offer range of up to 140 miles, which is what Dacia describes as enough to cover a ‘typical working week on a single charge’.
A new 40 kW onboard DC charger can recharge the battery from 20-80% in just 29 minutes, whilst standard equipment across the range will include things like air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, parking sensors and steering-wheel mounted media controls.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available on the 100hp version, which also benefits from a larger 10.1-inch multimedia display.
"With the introduction of our Dacia Electric Car Grant, it makes buying and owning a Spring even more affordable,” Dacia UK Brand Director Luke Broad said.
“We're in the business of making electric mobility accessible for all, and with our track record of delivering best-in-class value for best-in-class cars, it really doesn't require a leap of faith to go electric."
First customer deliveries are due to begin in spring 2026.
