Two Ford models have been praised by judges at the Fleet News Awards.

The company reports that its C-MAX car was named New Company Car of the Year 2011 by the readers of Fleet News, while the Grand C-MAX was labelled as Best People Carrier by judges.

Cars were judged on a number of criteria, including sustainability and overall cost, encompassing fuel, servicing and maintenance.

Judges noted that both ranges boast reliability and can serve a number of purposes for fleet and family drivers alike.

"The new Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX stand out thanks to clever and flexible seating and sliding rear passenger doors in a highly competitive sector with a range of new entrants," they stated.

Meanwhile, the C-MAX was also named as the multi-purpose vehicle that makes a driver's money go furthest by Parker's last week.

The Ford Galaxy is another model that often proves popular with fleet managers across the globe, the manufacturer also noted.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800476069-ADNFCR
