Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Breaks Cover

Hyundai has officially revealed the high-performance IONIQ 6 model during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The IONIQ 6 is the second EV after the IONIQ 5 to be given extra levels of performance from Hyundai’s N division – meaning the car is now capable of nearly 160mph and can hit 0-62mph in just 3.2sec.
As well as offering higher levels of performance over the standard car, the IONIQ 6 N benefits from revised suspension and a re-engineered chassis to improve handling and to deal with the extra power, with more sporty bodywork geared towards improving aerodynamics whilst also giving a more aggressive visual stance.
The virtual gearshift found on the standard car has been improved to minimise performance loss, with the car also featuring revamped battery management systems that are designed to offer longer-lasting performance and which can be adapted to different driving scenarios.
“With IONIQ 6 N, Hyundai N aims to elevate its offerings, enticing drivers with electric powertrains that offer high-performance enthusiasts a thrilling new avenue to electrify their passion both on the road and the track,” Jose Munoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, said.
Advanced vehicle control systems, dynamic sounds and various driver-focused geared towards ‘delivering a versatile and exhilarating driving experience’ all come as standard on the model, with full pricing to be confirmed ahead of the car hitting the UK market.
