Kia Confirms Pricing For High Performance EV6, EV9 Models
Kia has confirmed pricing and specification details for the upcoming high-performance versions of the EV6 and EV9 models, both of which are due to be released before the end of the year.
Order books for the EV6 have now opened ahead of the first customer deliveries commencing in the coming days, with pricing starting from £59,985 OTR – a reduction in price compared to the current model.
The EV6 will be the fastest-accelerating car to be produced by Kia and includes tweaks to the exterior design and improved battery performance which increases range to up to 279 miles.
The all-wheel drive car is now able to produce up to 641bhp, an increase of 11% on the previous model, and comes with a range of performance focused improvements.
These include virtual gear shift technology, which simulates a six-speed paddleshift gearbox and will be appearing on a Kia model for the first time.
Fast-charging will allow the EV6 to be charged from 10-80% in as little as 18 minutes under the right conditions.
The EV9 meanwhile will start from £82,185 OTR, with the first customer deliveries expected to take place towards the end of Q3.
The dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain fitted to the seven-seat SUV provides 502bhp and gives a range of up to 280 miles, with fast-charging boosting the battery from 10-80% in under half an hour.
The EV9 GT is fitted with an electronically controlled suspension as standard, as well as GT drive modes to make the most of the extra power available compared to the standard car.
Both models come with Kia’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, with both the battery pack and motors covered for eight years.
