The Kia EV3 and Kia PV5 Passenger have become the latest models to secure Electric Car Grant (ECG) eligibility.

It means the Kia EV3 Air and GT-Line grades, plus the Kia PV5 Passenger Essential and Plus trims, get a £1,500 discount to lower the starting price of their respective ranges.

The discount serves to make the Kia EV3 particularly attractive, the hatchback-cum-SUV having become one of the UK’s most popular electric vehicles on the back of several high-profile award wins.

As a result, the Kia EV3 Air (Short Range) now starts at £31,555 with the grant applied, rising to £34,555 for the Air (Long Range) and £37,995 for the GT-Line (Long Range).

In Short Range trim, the EV3 is capable of achieving 270-miles of range, while the Long Range model will travel upwards of 375-miles.

Meanwhile, the Kia PV5 Passenger – the seven-seat version of the Korean firm’s multi award-winning PV5 Cargo van – also qualifies for the grant, reducing the entry-price to £31,495.

In addition to the EV3 and PV5 Passenger being added to Kia’s ECG roster, the manufacturer confirms the newly announced Kia EV4 Motion trim level is also eligible.
