Kia has provided an indication of what may lie ahead in its future after revealing a stylish concept car named the Vision Meta Turismo.
The new model was revealed as part of Kia’s 80th anniversary celebrations during a special event in Korea, and is said to ‘pay homage to the speed and elegance of 1960s long-distance touring’.
Whereas a number of recent additions to the Kia line-up having taken the form of more boxy SUVs, the Vision Meta Turismo is best described as a four-door saloon that blends rakish design with spacious interior and which puts more focus on performance.
The interior offers what is described as ‘a more immersive driving experience’ which makes use of AR head-up display technology for different driving environments and which allow virtual graphics to be shown floating above the road ahead.
“The Vision Meta Turismo embodies Kia’s vision that integrates dynamic mobility and human-centered spaces,” head of global design Karim Habib said.
“It is an expression of Kia’s commitment to continually bring technologically advanced mobility and experiences that engage, stimulate, and inspire.”
