Kia has revealed the latest version of the Sportage ahead of it being launched in the UK later this year.
The new version of the Sportage will be offered as a petrol or hybrid at launch, with a plug-in option expected to follow at a later date.
The petrol option will be powered by a 1.6 litre engine producing 148bhp, with the addition of the electric motor in the hybrid boosting performance to 236bhp. The petrol car is offered with either a manual or electric gearbox, with the hybrid being automatic only but available in both front and all-wheel drive.
Described as 'the most refined Sportage ever' by Kia Europe COO Sjoerd Knipping, the latest version of the car is slightly larger than the existing model and features a number of design tweaks - most notably with the introduction of column headlights seen on the EV9.
Inside there is a new design to the steering wheel and a revised operating system that works on a 12.3-inch curved panoramic display and a new 10-inch head-up display.
The petrol version of the car provides 562 litres of boot space, which increases to 587 litres in the hybrid.
