A Mansfield woman has been named as the winner of the Workshop Controller of the Year by Vertu, the fourth largest automotive retailer in the UK.
Lauren Geary, Workshop Controller at Vertu Hyundai Mansfield, was recognised for her exceptional performance in the role she has held for the past two years, having originally joined Vertu as a Service Advisor back in 2018.
Lauren was praised for her work in helping to drive strong aftersales results in the dealership, with the Mansfield site consistently scoring above average in customer satisfaction surveys.
Such levels of success date back to the time that Lauren moved into the Workshop Controller role, with the service department enjoying its best ever month within eight weeks of her taking up the position.
Hyundai Mansfield offers an extensive range of aftersales services at the site on Southwell Road alongside the full range of award-winning Hyundai models – both new and used.
The Workshop Controller of the Year is handed out each year as part of Vertu’s annual Management Awards, which celebrate those individuals who make an outstanding contribution to the business in their respective roles.
Lauren Geary said: “Getting a call on my day off to tell me I had won the award was a massive surprise, and I’m honoured to have been chosen – particularly considering the many talented people holding similar positions in Vertu dealerships across the country.
“I’m proud to be part of such a strong team at Hyundai Mansfield and to be recognised for the hard work that has helped to deliver such strong performances for our workshop in recent years.”
Robert Forrester, Vertu Chief Executive, said: “Lauren has consistently shown high levels of performance which have been instrumental to the ongoing success of her service department.
“Not only has she played a key role in the strong performance of the Mansfield dealership, she has also gone above and beyond to assist the wider Hyundai division as a whole, which is a reflection of her commitment to the business.
“She is outstanding in her role, and certainly a service manager of the future!”
