Mazda Introduces New Warranty For UK Buyers

Mazda has announced the introduction of a new extended warranty for UK buyers, which will come into effect from the 1 September.

From that date, anyone buying a Mazda from across the range will benefit from a full six-year warranty, which will be valid as long as the car is serviced within the manufacturer-prescribed service programme.

The mileage limit for the warranty will also be increased from the current 60,000 miles up to 100,000 miles.

“It’s great that we can now offer our customers in the UK a six-year warranty,” Mazda UK managing director Jeremy Thomson said. “If you consider that just 21 per cent of cars registered in the UK year-to-date have longer than a three-year warranty, this is a fantastic reflection of our commitment to the quality, reliability and engineering of our cars.

“I’m delighted that our dealers can now sell our new cars with one of the best warranties in the industry and in the years ahead our excellent approved used scheme will benefit with customers able to buy previously owned cars with added confidence of a full manufacturer warranty.”

Alongside the new warranty, the upcoming Mazda6e will also benefit from an eight-year battery warranty when it goes on sale in the UK.
