Mercedes has confirmed that the new CLA is now available to order in hybrid form ahead of customer deliveries getting underway in early 2026.
The hybrid version of the all-new model, which was released in electric form earlier this year, is set to be priced from £38,700 and will be offered in five different trim levels - Sport, Sport Executive, AMG Line Executive, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus.
Power for the car will come from an all-new 1.5 litre engine developed in-house by Mercedes which will be complemented by an integrated electric motor and 1.3kWh battery, and an eight-speed, duel-clutch transmission.
That engine will provide between 136bhp in the CLA 180 through to 190bhp in the CLA 220 4MATIC, with all models capable of more than 50mpg and able to run exclusively on electric power in an urban environment.
The hybrid version will look similar to the full-electric CLA with some minor design changes to the exterior, whilst it will come fitted with the same AI-enhanced onboard computer system as the electric model.
A 14” centre display with smartphone integration and integrated video camera comes as standard, with a second 14” display for the front-seat passenger offered on AMG Line Premium specification cars and above.
