Car buyers are set to have greater choice in the coming days when Renault launches its new GT Megane line-up.

The firm has said its new offerings will be available to order from April priced from £21,910.

Among the new Renault cars will be a GT version of the firm's coupe and coupe-cabriolet, with consumers given the choice of a turbo-charged 180hp petrol engine or 2.0 dCi 160 diesel powertrain.

Other features added to the vehicles as part of the new range include a sports chassis setting, Renaultsport 250-style steering wheel and seats, 18-inch wheels, a dark charcoal interior trim with polished carbon highlights and bespoke badging on the grille and boot lid.

Meanwhile, the models' appearance has changed thanks to new-design bumpers.

For those who would prefer to update a used Renault model, the firm is also launching a GT-Line option pack for £1,290.

In related news, the manufacturer has announced plans to release its Twingo Gordini 133 model in mid-April
