Renault Confirms Pricing For New 4 E-Tech
Renault has revealed pricing for the new 4 E-Tech ahead of orders opening for the first time in July.
The new model, which has already been named as the ‘Electric Car of the Year’ by Top Gear magazine, will be available from a starting price of £26,995 OTR – a figure which is set to undercut a number of rivals from other brands.
Those who elect to purchase a Renault R Pass will be able to place their order from 1 July for the car, which is then offered to the wider public from 15 July.
From launch, the Renault 4 will be available in three different trim levels – evolution, techno and iconic – and incorporates a number of retro-inspired touches that are designed to pay homage to the original model.
The R4, which sold more than eight million units, was first produced back in the early 1960s – with the final model rolling off the production line more than 30 years later.
The big brother to the Renault 5, the 4 E-Tech features impressive interior space for a B-segment vehicle – with plenty of leg room for rear passengers and 420 litres of boot space.
That grows to more than 1,400 litres when the rear seats are dropped, reflecting the versatility of the model.
The range for the 4 E-Tech will be up to 247 miles depending on model, with techno and iconic versions having a one pedal function to optimise regenerative braking.
Equipped with a 100 kw dc charger, the battery can be replenished from 15 to 80% in just 30 minutes when using a high-speed charger.
