A first glimpse of the refreshed CUPRA Born has been teased ahead of the electric hatchback’s unveiling next month.

Launched as the marque’s first all-electric car in 2021, the CUPRA Born has played a significant role in runaway success of the brand, which has notched up more than one million global sales since being inaugurated just seven years ago.

Originally conceived as a sport-oriented flagship trim by SEAT, CUPRA (a portmanteau of Cup and Racing) was spun-off into its own premium brand in 2018 and has since grown to become one of the Europe’s fastest-growing automotive companies.

Sharing its mechanicals with the Volkswagen ID.3, the Born is the smallest offering in the CUPRA range and the latest to gain an update.

Set to be unveiled officially on 5 March 2026, there isn’t too much to be gleaned about the revised CUPRA Born from the teaser video with exception to revised rear-light clusters that now get a checkered pattern.

While we will have to wait a little longer to get the full effect, CUPRA promises the Born will combine ‘striking design, improved interiors and greater technology’.

The revised Born comes at the top of a big year for CUPRA as it prepares to launch its new entry-level model, the eagerly-anticipated CUPRA Raval, this summer.

It will join a range that also includes the top-selling CUPRA Formentor, CUPRA Tavascan, CUPRA Terramar, CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Ateca.
