Skoda has announced an addition to the already popular Superb range, with the SportsLine model now available to order.

Offered for both the hatchback and estate variants of the family car, SportsLine trim adds an additional layer of style to what is already one of the most practical cars on the UK market.

The Superb SportsLine sits 15mm lower than other models across the range thanks to a special sports chassis, and comes with unique 19-inch black alloy wheels as standard.

Unique design features that include black detailing around the grille and black inserts into the bumpers also allow the car to stand out as a SportLine model whilst there are a number of special additions to the interior, including front sports seats that including heating and massage functions.

Key to the new SportsLine range is a combination of six different engine and transmission options to cater for all tastes.

Those who opt for the petrol engine can choose from a 1.5 engine or two 2.0 TSI units that are aligned to a DSG gearbox, whilst the estate is also offered with a PHEV drivetrain that combines a 1.5 TSI engine with a 110kW electric motor.

That gives an all-electric driving range of up to 79 miles and is set to be a popular choice with motorists looking for extra efficiency and lower running costs.

Two diesel options are also offered, the more powerful of which can come with four-wheel drive.

The Superb SportsLine sits between the SE L and Laurin & Klement trims, both of which will now be available with a new 2.0 TSI engine option.
