Skoda has been added to the list of manufacturers with models that are now eligible for discounts under the government’s Electric Car Grant.

As with other members of the Volkswagen Group, Skoda announced the introduction of a ‘Grant Guarantee’ last month, which was eligible against both the Elroq and the Enyaq.

Both models have now been officially added to the government list at Band 2 level, meaning discounts of £1,500 against certain variants across the respective ranges.

The includes a new Elroq SE L 85 that features an 82kWh (77kWh usable) battery that gives a driving range of up to 355 miles.

The Elroq is now available from £30,210 with the ECG discount applied, with the only variant not eligible for the price reduction being the top-of-the-range Elroq vRS.

Skoda Enyaq

Two models from the Enyaq range will also benefit from discounts, meaning the car is now available from £37,150.

“We are delighted to confirm that our award-winning models qualify for the Government’s Electric Car Grant,” Skoda UK director Matthew Bowden, said.

“At Skoda, our commitment has always been to put our customers at the heart of everything we do - designing cars that meet their evolving needs and expectations.
