For a taste of finer things in life, look no further than this selection of masterpieces in performance.
These incredible pieces of machinery are more than just vehicles. They are symbols of exclusivity, power and the height of luxury.
Read on to discover just how much these symbols cost to own.
Pagani Huayra Imola
£4.2 million
Notorious for its exclusivity, the car manufacturer Pagani made only five of the Huayra Imola. This hypercar is powered by a twin-turbo V12 engine, offering 827hp. The advanced aerodynamics and lightweight design are typical of the Pagani range. The Huayra Imola is a true beast on the road.
Bugatti Centodieci
£7 million
The first of two Bugatti models in this list. The Centodieci was created as a celebration of the manufacturer's 110th anniversary, with only ten available.
Powered by a quite incredible quad-turbo W16 engine, the car delivers a truly mind-boggling 1,600hp. The classic looks of this car are a hat tip to the legendary Bugatti EB 110.
Rolls-Royce Sweptail
£10.1 million
Unsurprisingly, this modern-day icon was a custom build for a special patron. This car does not fixate on horsepower like most, but on the most tailored luxurious design, features and materials.
The design inspiration was taken from the patron's love of yachts. Materials such as Macassar Ebony wood and Dark Spice leathers were handpicked for this singular icon of engineering.
Bugatti La Voiture Noire
£14.5 million
The La Voiture Noire is a unique one-off produced by Bugatti with bulging front wheel arches and exaggerated sloping roof inspired by the classic Type 57 SC Atlantic.
The car includes another incredible quad-turbo W16 engine from Bugatti with 1,479hp on tap. The sleek and memorable design makes for power, presence and character, all in one incredible vehicle that was first shown off at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
Rolls Royce Boat Tail
Around £20 million
Only three coachbuilt Boat Tail cars have been built by Rolls Royce for exclusive clients and are designed to reflect the distinctive outline of a racing yacht from the early 20th century.
Wooden deck panels cover the rear of the Boat Tail, which Rolls Royce says is 'far more than just a beautiful motor car'.
Who are we to disagree?
Rolls Royce La Rose Noire Droptail
If you have to ask...
The exact price of the Rolls Royce La Rose Noire Droptail isn't known but it's safe to say that it's a figure that only a select few would be prepared to pay for a car.
The first of four special Droptail commissions created by Rolls-Royce, the car is described as 'an expression of the deep and passionate partnership between a husband and wife who are the heads of a prominent international family'.
It has never been confirmed who actually bought the car, but it's expected to have cost them in excess of £23 million.
More than getting from A to B
Each of these cars makes a unique statement; about the manufacturer, the owner and the car itself. Each represents the peak of automotive excellence, blending history, artistry and fine-tuned technology. Any of these masterpieces are the ultimate status symbol.
