Toyota Announces Addition To bZ4X Range With New Tourer

Toyota has announced an addition to the bZ4X range with a new Touring version of the model set to arrive in the UK in early 2026.

The bZ4X Touring will be 140mm and 20mm higher than the standard car and will benefit from an increased load area of 600 litres, making the boot space one of the largest that is available on the electric car market. That boot can be made even larger thanks to a flexible 60:40 rear seat set up.

Toyota will offer the car in either front-wheel drive as a single-motor set-up providing drivers with 221bhp, or in all-wheel drive with two motors giving 376bhp, which will make the bZ4X the most powerful BEV produced by the manufacturer to date.

No official data on range have been confirmed although the existing bZ4X offers up to 318 miles of range and rapid-charging that takes the battery from 10% to 80% charge in little more than half an hour.

The battery in the car will be covered by Toyota’s Battery Care Programme for up to ten years of vehicle age or up to 650,000 miles driven, as long as the car is subject to an annual battery health check.

Visually, the bZ4X Touring adopts the same front end as the standard model but the estate-like body has been designed to give a more rugged appearance, with roof rails as standard and a grained black finish around the wheel arches.

Pricing will be confirmed at a later date.
