Vertu has opened a new Nissan dealership in Tamworth on the site previously occupied by its Motornation used car outlet, signalling a new phase of investment and growth for the Ventura Park Road location.
The move represents a significant investment in the area by Vertu, the UK’s fourth largest motor retailer, and reflects its continued commitment to expanding its franchised dealership network.
The site was originally taken over by Vertu in 2023, when it was transformed into a Motornation dealership following the closure of a former Cazoo outlet.
The group has since invested over £456,000 to refurbish the premises, creating 17 jobs and establishing a service centre with capacity for six vehicles to be worked on simultaneously.
Now rebranded and extensively upgraded, the site has undergone a major facelift to meet the latest Nissan dealer standards.
It offers the full range of new and approved used Nissan vehicles, including the newest electric and hybrid models, alongside MOT and servicing facilities. Vertu colleagues have also completed a comprehensive training programme to ensure they are fully equipped with the latest product knowledge and technical expertise.
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “This site has already proven its value to the business, so bringing Nissan to Tamworth is a natural evolution that strengthens our presence in the region and enhances our customer offering.”
Corey Scowen, General Manager at Vertu Nissan Tamworth, added: “The new Nissan dealership marks an exciting milestone for our team and the town. We’re proud to represent such a well-respected brand and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.”
