The spirit of the legendary ‘VW Bus’ is alive and well judging by the freshened look of the revised Volkswagen Multivan.
The popular multi-purpose vehicle will undergo an update in 2026 with Volkswagen releasing the first details of the revised model by revealing what it will look like.
For 2026, the Multivan adopts a look that is more closely related to the Volkswagen Transporter upon which it is based, while also incorporating retro-chic elements of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, which itself is a direct modern day descendent of the VW Bus.
What this means is the Multivan gets freshened front-end that splits the colourway between the bonnet and the bumpers so as to ‘emphasise’ its width, according to Volkswagen.
The new look is completed by a fresh palette of shades, including the option of matt paint for the first time, with official imagery debuting the two-tone Candy White solid and Grey Brown metallic finish.
There will also be a choice of new 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as the 19-inch Halmstad rims that have proven particularly popular with the VW Bus enthusiasts.
More details will be revealed over the summer.
