The Volkswagen Golf has long been a household name, and for good reason.

Overview

It’s the kind of car that fits seamlessly into everyday life, whether you’re commuting to work, running errands, or setting off on a weekend getaway with the family. We’ve always admired how the Volkswagen Golf strikes that perfect balance between practicality, comfort, and properly enjoyable driving.

If you're looking for a used Volkswagen Golf, the 7th generation Volkswagen Golf is a fantastic affordable option. If you’re wanting something a bit more modern, a new or used 8th generation Volkswagen Golf is a total treat to drive. These latest generations offer clever tech, smart design, and an effortlessly smooth drive. Everything we love about the Golf!

Volkswagen Golf Exterior

The Golf’s clean lines and confident stance give it a timeless appeal, whilst the distinctive LED headlights and sleek rear light signature add a modern touch.

We particularly like how the Golf manages to look compact and agile whilst still giving off a premium feel. It’s a car that looks right at home everywhere, from city streets to countryside lanes.

It's the bigger and slightly sportier older brother of the popular Volkswagen Polo. Those wanting proper sporty appeal, like larger alloys and a more aggressive front bumper, should check out trims like the R-Line and GTI.

Volkswagen Golf Interior

Step inside, and it’s clear that Volkswagen has paid attention to the details. The cabin feels open, comfortable, and well thought out. The high-quality materials and intuitive layout make every journey a joy.

The digital cockpit is one of our favourite features - it's intuitive to use, every control feels exactly where you want it, and the overall atmosphere is pretty sophisticated.

Volkswagen Golf Space

Despite its sleek design, the Golf is remarkably spacious. There’s plenty of legroom in the front and rear, making it ideal car for families or anyone who often travels with passengers. The boot offers generous space for shopping, luggage, or pushchairs, and with the rear seats folded, it easily transforms to handle larger loads.

We love how adaptable the Golf is, it’s compact enough to park easily in the city, yet spacious enough to handle family adventures. If you’re looking for a car for a new family, you’ll love the Golf’s Isofix child seat fittings and five-star Euro NCAP rating

Behind the Wheel of the Volkswagen Golf

The Golf is a very easy car to drive. The steering is light yet precise, and the suspension smooths out bumps effortlessly. Whether you’re navigating busy urban roads or cruising along the motorway, the Golf feels composed and refined.

It’s also impressively efficient. The range of engines (including petrol, diesel, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options) means there’s a Golf to suit every lifestyle. The hybrid Golf models in particular are perfect for those who want to reduce fuel costs whilst keeping flexibility for longer journeys.
