CUPRA Confirms Grant Guarantee Discount On Born

CUPRA has announced a ‘Grant Guarantee’ against certain models in the Born range whilst the manufacturer waits to discover if it will be eligible for the Electric Car Grant introduced by the UK government.
Customers who order an eligible model from the Born range before 31 August and take delivery on a ‘75’ plate from 1 September will be eligible for the grant guarantee, which will offer a discount of £1,500 off the list price.
It is expected that a full list of eligible cars will be revealed on 11 August, with the Born being the only CUPRA model that is offered below the £37,000 threshold in the government proposals, with the new Tavascan range starting from just over £44,000.
“This is a great opportunity for customers to benefit from CUPRA UK’s £1,500 grant guarantee,” Marcus Gossen, Managing Director of SEAT CUPRA UK, said. “We want to ensure that EVs are accessible to as many people as possible, so by offering this grant early on our CUPRA Born models, we’re allowing everybody to take advantage.
“We welcome the government’s announcement of an electric car grant, and we’re keen for everybody to be able to make the most of electric motoring as early as possible.”
