Geely Auto UK has revealed more details about the latest model it will bring to the UK, the Geely Starray EM-i.
Set to hit the UK showrooms in February 2026, the launch will coincide with Geely becoming the latest leading manufacturer to join Vertu’s nationwide dealership network. The first Vertu Geely dealership will open in Glasgow.
The Geely Starray EM-i is the second model to be launched by Geely in the UK, following on from the EX5.
It will sit above the EX5 in Geely’s range as a rival to the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson, three of the UK’s best-selling SUVs.
Key to its appeal is its running cost-efficient Super Hybrid powertrain, not least because the Geely Starray EM-i will be priced to directly compete with conventional petrol-fuelled models.
According to Geely, the Starray EM-i will be capable of an electric-only range of up to 84 miles, though full specifications will be announced closer to launch.
The Geely Starray EM-i will be offered with the choice of three trim levels – Pro, Max and Ultra – with even the base level offering heated electrically adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and keyless entry.
Upgrade to the mid-range Max trim and a heads-up display and wireless phone charging are added, while the flagship Ultra adds a larger battery and increased charging capability.
As well as coming with a maximum five-star EuroNCAP safety test rating, the Geely Starray EM-i service intervals have been set at 12 months/100,000 miles, while the base warranty will be one of the most comprehensive in the industry at eight years or 120,000 miles.
Michael Yang, General Manager, Geely Auto UK, said: “When we launched our brand in the UK, we committed to offering technologically focused, safe and intelligent mobility that is genuinely tailored to the needs of British drivers.
“With the opening of reservations for the Starray EM-i, we are delivering on that promise once again. To ensure this vehicle truly excels on UK roads, we have worked closely with the experts at Lotus Engineering to refine its chassis and dynamics, resulting in a driving experience that is ideally suited to this market.
“We have been equally deliberate with our pricing and specification. By offering three highly specified, carefully chosen trim levels – Pro, Max, and Ultra – we are providing customers with a transparent and effortless purchasing experience.
“Whether it is the WLTP electric-only range of up to 84 miles* or the premium technology fitted as standard across the range, the new Starray EM-i provides a stand-out, attainable proposition for those ready to embrace the benefits of a state-of-the-art super hybrid.”
