Kia Reveals EV4 Fastback
Kia has revealed a Fastback version of the new EV4, which is available to order now prior to deliveries kicking off in the autumn.
The EV4 Fastback takes the form of a four-door saloon compared to the more SUV-like appearance of the regular EV4, and will be offered from launch in both GT-Line and GT-Line S trims.
Prices will start from £40,895 on the road for the GT-Line, with the GT-Line S offered from £45,395. Both versions will come with an 81.4kWh long range battery, giving range of up to 380 miles with fast charging capabilities.
As with the regular EV4, the Fastback has a single, front-mounted electric motor that produces 201bhp but is much larger than its sibling, being 300mm longer but also sitting 5mm lower.
Much of the extra length comes from the rear overhang, and allows the EV4 Fastback to offer an impressive 490 litres of boot space.
Kia’s new connected car Navigation Cockpit, integrated into the dual 12.3-inch display and infotainment screens, comes as standard and includes access to both Apple Carplay and Android Auto whilst the Fastback also offers drivers two different entertainment settings – like the regular EV4.
That means drivers are able to set the cabin of the car up for more a more relaxed environment in rest mode, turning off interior lighting and allowing the front seat to be reclined to form a makeshift bed.
Alternatively, theatre mode means drivers can use the infotainment system to use a range of different apps on the main touchscreen when parked.
All Fastback models come with an expansive list of features included, such as front and rear parking sensors, highway driving assist, smart cruise control and regenerative braking paddle shifters with iPedal functionality.
