James McKeown has been voted the League Two PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans Player of the Month for October by football fans across the country.
In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Grimsby stopper won with a 35% of the vote for October, beating Northampton s Matt Crooks, who finished in second place with 22%.
In the fourth of five divisional votes carried out over seven days via Snack s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was clear that McKeown s solid performances over the last month - in which he kept five clean sheets in five games - has resonated with supporters up and down the country.
The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:
James McKeown (Grimsby Town) - 35%
Matt Crooks (Northampton) - 22%
Chuks Aneke (MK Dons) - 17%
Nicky Maynard (Bury) - 10%
Danny Mayor (Bury) - 9%
James Norwood (Tranmere Rovers) - 7%
