MG has a reached a special sales landmark in the UK after announcing that 100,000 MG EV models have now hit the road.

Having launched its first EV back in 2019 when it introduced an electric version of the MG ZS, the reborn manufacturer has gone on to launch a number of bespoke electric cars in the years that have followed.

The MG4 secured multiple awards having been launched in 2022, with the MG Cyberster in 2023 becoming of the first all-electric roadsters.

The MGS5 has also proven to be a strong seller in the UK, with the all-new IM5 saloon and the IM6 SUV - seen as a rival for the Tesla Model Y - now on sale under the MG name.

“We’re proud that MG has played a meaningful role in driving the growth of electric mobility in the UK and supporting the nation’s Net Zero ambitions,” Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director of MG Motor UK, said.

“Reaching 100,000 EV sales is a major achievement for our brand and a reflection of the trust our customers place in us.

“We will continue to expand our line-up with even more choice, even more value, and advanced technology that makes electric driving accessible to all.”
