Motorists heading out and about with their families this half term might want to relieve some of the stress by making sure they can find a parking space beforehand.

New and used car drivers may be accustomed to the sinking feeling after motoring up to an attraction only to see a sign saying 'full', so to avoid disappointment drivers are being urged to go online and find a parking spot before going out.

Parking information provider Parkopedia.com has promised motorists it can help them find the location, cost and availability of parking places before they hit the road.

As well as a website, the firm also has an iPhone application that provides details of more than six million bays in car parks, streets and private driveways. The 1.3 version was launched in May.

"To alleviate some of the stress before hand, visit Parkopedia.com to find out exactly where you can park even before you head out the door," commented Christina Onesirosan Martinez, marketing director at Parkopedia.com.
