Nissan Confirms Starting Price For Sixth-Generation Micra

Nissan has confirmed that order books for the all-new, sixth-generation of the Micra will open on 1 September, with the range starting from under £23,000.
The entry level Engage version of the small EV will be priced at £22,995 and comes with a 40kWh battery that gives a maximum range just under 200 miles.
The mid-level Advances range will also be offered with the smaller battery option from £24,995, whilst a larger 52kWh battery is available from £26,995.
The top-spec Evolve model will only be offered with the larger battery – which provides up to 260 miles of range – and will start from £29,865.
Although yet to be confirmed, Nissan expects the Micra to be eligible for a £1,500 discount under the government’s Electric Car Grant, with confirmation expected soon as to whether than will indeed be the case.
“Micra is the first of four new fully electric models to arrive on the Nissan line up and we are incredibly excited to be pricing it so competitively,” James Taylor, managing director of Nissan GB, said.
“Micra is a key strategic model for Nissan, and based on the positive reviews, exciting design, attractive price and a class-leading product, I am looking forward to seeing lots of new Micras on the road soon.”
The new Micra will come with a 100kW DC charger (or 80kw on the 40kWh version) which offers quick charging from 15%-80% in just 30 minutes.
A heat pump is standard on both battery options to maximise efficiency, as well as battery heating and cooling capability.
