The Renault Group has collected multiple prizes from the annual TopGear.com Awards, headlined by taking home the accolade of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’.

The award was handed out to the group as a whole to celebrate the success of Renault, Alpine and Dacia over the past twelve months.

Renault has secured multiple awards thanks to the Renault 4 and Renault 5, whilst Alpine secured a share of the European Car of the Year prize with the A290 – a prize shared with the Renault 5.

Dacia meanwhile has made a successful move into the large SUV market for the first time following the introduction of the Bigster.

“We are incredibly proud to be named Manufacturer of the Year by the TopGear.com judges,” Adam Wood, Managing Director of Renault Group UK, said. “This award is testament to the passion, commitment and talents of Renault Group teams around the world, who strive to create unique brands and products which delight our customers and thrive in a competitive marketplace.

“From small EVs with charm and versatility, to rugged SUVs and electrified supercars, Renault Group is committed to bringing sustainable mobility to more people.”

Renault 4 & Dacia Hipster

Alongside the Manufacturer of the Year award, Renault picked up more silverware with the new Renault 4 E-Tech, which took home the prize of ‘Crossover of the Year’.

It marked the second TopGear.com award of the year for the all-new model after it was named as ‘Electric Car of the Year’ earlier this year.

The Dacia Hipster concept car meanwhile was awarded ‘Design of the Year’ having been praised for showcasing the way in which an electric city car could be made more affordable to the mass market by looking at cost as a primary focus.
