The Volvo EX30 might be a model that touts its credentials as a green electric SUV, but the new Black Edition offers up an altogether moodier colour palette.

Available to order now at Vertu Volvo dealerships, the Volvo EX30 Black Edition retains the standard model’s clean and crisp lines but drapes them in a stealthy metallic Onyx Black colourway that emphasises its understated appeal.

With a paint scheme that Volvo says ‘sparkles in daylight while the reduced light accentuates its elegance’, the new swatch is complemented by high-gloss 19-inch alloy wheels and tinted rear windows.

Black gloss is also favoured on the front grille strikethrough, the iron mark, the rear Volvo scrip and model name, plus the roof spoiler and door mirror cowls.

Inside, the EX30 Black Edition gains an exclusive Indigo interior colour, which is used on studio-inspired textile materials and upcycled denim trim.

Priced from £40,060 in Single Motor Plus trim, the EX30 Black Edition offers up to 295-miles of range (combined) and can cover 0-62mph in just 5.3secs. It will also be available with Twin Motor Performance Powertrains.

As one of the UK’s best-selling electric vehicles in 2025, the Black Edition simply accentuates the EX30’s appeal as a frugal and premium small SUV brimming with high-quality touches and impressive specification.

Features include a 12.3-inch central display, remote cabin air pre-cleaning, twelve ultra-sonic sensors monitoring the car’s surroundings for safety and adaptive cruise control.
