Burnley Lose Out After Late Drama

Burnley’s wait for a first home league win of the Premier League season continues after the Vertu Motors-backed side suffered late heartbreak against Crystal Palace.

The Vertu Motors-backed side went into the game level on points with Everton at the foot of the table and chasing just a second victory since being promoted back to the top flight as Championship title winners.

After a somewhat forgettable first half, Burnley hit the front shortly after the half-time break when Luca Koleosho was fouled in the box and Jay Rodriguez stepped up to fire the Clarets into the lead.

The home side pushed hard to extend their advantage at the front but were pegged back with just four minutes left to play when Dara O'Shea turned a cross from Mohammed Kudus into his own goal under pressure from Divin Mubama.

Worse was to follow three minutes later when another cross from the right from Mubama was volleyed into the net by Soucek to give West Ham the victory leave Burnley still chasing their first point at Turf Moor this campaign.
