The CUPRA Raval has been named as the winner of the Reader’s Award at the annual What Car? Electric Car Awards.

Based on the UrbanRebel concept car, the Raval is set to launch in 2026 as the third all-electric model under the CUPRA name after the Born and the Tavascan.

A total of 14 upcoming EVs were in the running for the Reader’s Award, which celebrates the upcoming electric vehicles that readers of the magazine are most excited about.

The Born was also recognised with two awards, being named as both Best Electric Family Car and Best Used Electric Family Car, continuing a run of success that the model has enjoyed since being launched in 2023.

“To see the CUPRA Raval winning awards, even before it’s been launched, is such a success for the brand,” Marcus Gossen, Managing Director of SEAT and CUPRA UK, said.

“We’ve beaten a number of our competitors to the Reader’s Award, and it’s already building a platform for the Raval’s credentials. We’re really excited to bring this new model to the roads and, and I’m sure the car is going to live up to the hype.”

“We’re also thrilled that the CUPRA Born has continued its winning streak. When a car is recognised by this many awards, it shows true strength and we’re proud to see drivers love the Born as much as we do.”

The Born is the only model in the CUPRA range to currently be part of the government Electric Car Grant, with a saving of £1,500 under Band 2.
