Dacia has announced that the Duster will benefit from the introduction of two new powertrains that will provide additional power over those currently available.
The hybrid 155 powertrain that is already available on the Bigster model will soon be launched on the Duster as a replacement for the hybrid 140 unit, and will combine a 109 bhp 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors, a 1.4 kWh battery and an automatic electric gearbox.
Fuel consumption is expected to be around 8% better than on the hybrid 140, with the new engine also producing lower emissions.
Alongside the full hybrid powertrain, the Duster will also be given the mild hybrid 140 from the Bigster to replace the existing hybrid 130.
The engine combines a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system and will once again result in improved performance and lower emissions.
The new engine options will be available to order from November, with full pricing to be confirmed in due course.
