Production Civic Type R revealed at Geneva Motor Show

The wait is finally over, as Honda reveals the production version of the brand-new Civic Type R at the Geneva Motor Show.

2015 will see the arrival of the eagerly anticipated hot hatch, billed as a 'race car for the road'. Honda's new Type R is destined to set new standards in the high-performance front-wheel-drive hatchback segment.

Type R vehicles from the Japanese manufacturer have generated a large following across the globe and the new model lives up to the high expectations.

The new Type R will be powered by the most extreme and high-performing engine in the 22-year history of the red Honda badge, signalling the start of a new performance era for the brand.

Driven by the new 2.0-litre VTEC turbo engine, the new hot hatch's aggressive styling and new chassis technologies combine to deliver one of the most rewarding driving experiences available in any sector.

Honda's Civic Type R will go on sale across Europe this summer.
