Tesla has announced an updated model of its S and X electric cars which will be faster than ever before.
The Tesla Model S P100D lays claim to the crown of fastest car in the world, with a 0 - 60mph of 2.5 seconds. The Bugatti Chiron claims to have achieved a faster time, however this has yet to be confirmed. As it stands, the Tesla Model S P100D is the fastest car on earth. The Model X P100D has a 0-60mph of 2.9 seconds, with a 289 mile range.
The Model S can travel a massive 315 miles on a single charge, which company founder Elon Musk claims has never before been achieved by an electric vehicle. Tesla s figures are currently awaiting verification, although if the past is anything to judge by, Tesla s numbers will be accurate. No official prices have been released for the cars yet.
