The Ford Puma cemented its position as the top-selling model on the UK car market after returning to the top of the charts in October.
Although it remained the most popular car across the year to date, the Puma had been beaten to the number one spot in September by the Kia Sportage but outsold its rival by nearly 1,000 units last month.
It makes the Puma, which continues to benefit from the EV version being offered with a £3,750 Electric Car Grant, the first model in 2025 to surpass 45,000 new registrations.
Although it was SUVs that again topped the sales charts, the MINI Cooper was third best seller ahead of the Volkswagen Golf, with the Vauxhall Corsa and Audi A3 also breaking into the top ten.
A 22-reg Volkswagen Golf is currently being offered as the top prize in the latest Vertu Car Giveaway.
