All-New Electric Cars Coming to a Vertu Dealership in 2026

The new car market is evolving at a rapid rate, and this is no more evident than in the electric car space with a flurry of exciting brand-new models due to reach Vertu dealerships in the coming months.

EV technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, so much so that there are now myriad zero emission cars across the market available in a variety of body styles and nestled into every price bracket.

BMW i3

Available to Order Now

While the launch of any new BMW is always an event, there is a strong argument to suggest the BMW i3 might be one of the most significant unveilings in the German marque’s rich history.

While the BMW iX3 had the honour of heralding the firm’s much discussed ‘Neue Klasse’ era, the i3 sees the bold new direction applied to a premium sports saloon in the vein of its signature model, the 3-Series.

The result is a design that incorporates a fresh interpretation of BMW’s famed ‘kidney grille’ and an entirely new front headlight arrangement.

Set to rival the new Mercedes C-Class and BYD Seal, the i3 is primed to set new standards for electric range and efficiency, with the flagship 50xDrive trim capable of returning a mammoth 559-miles of range.

It will also be able to support 400kW fast charging, meaning it would be possible to add 249-miles of range in just ten minutes.

BMW iX5

Available to Order October, Arriving Spring 2027

BMW’s ‘Neue Klasse’ era continues full steam ahead in early-2027 with the launch of the latest generation BMW X5 and – crucially – the all-new BMW iX5.

More than 27 years on from the unveiling of the first-generation model, the X5 will get an electric version for the first time, alongside standard diesel and PHEV options in the UK.

As expected, the iX5 builds on the game-changing statistics of the iX3 with the line-up starting with the 60xDrive at launch.

This model packs a huge 141kWh battery into its architecture to offer range of up to 525-miles, while also offering a meaty 569bhp and 805Nm of torque to ensure a 0-62mph sprint in 4.6secs.

In terms of overall look, the X5 bears similarity to the iX3 with its slender, upright interpretation of BMW’s signature ‘kidney grille’, while the profile is muscular, yet athletic to help disguise its relatively large presence.

Hyundai IONIQ 3

Available Late 2026

Hyundai will expand upon its ‘IONIQ’ line of electric models with the launch of its smallest EV yet, the Hyundai IONIQ 3.

Building on the success of the ground-breaking IONIQ 5, the 3 goes up against the likes of the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4 as an SUV-style small family hatchback.

As has become the recent norm for the Korean manufacturer in recent times, the IONIQ 3 adopts a bold look with an unconventional shape, which has the dual effect of maximising aerodynamic efficiency and interior practicality.

It means the IONIQ 3 will travel more than 300-miles with the 58kWh Long Range battery, while it can seat six-foot adults comfortably and offer 441-litres of boot space.

The IONIQ 3 is also the first European-bound Hyundai to get the firm’s state-of-the-art PLEOS Connect infotainment system.

Based on Android Automotive OS, Hyundai’s adaptation creates a smartphone-like user interface and extendable features through integrated apps that are designed to deliver a more intuitive and seamless in-vehicle experience.

Jaguar Type 01

Arriving 2027

Jaguar’s bold decision to take a step back with a view to launching an entirely new era for the storied British marque has suitably shifted towards huge anticipation for its big comeback model, the Jaguar Type 01.

Revealed in concept form in 2024, the Type 01 has been rolled out in a steady stream of teasers and public events, but things are now beginning to ramp up for production, including having its name confirmed.

The electric ‘grand tourer’ represents a brand-new start for Jaguar – a new platform, new design ethos, new electric architecture and even a new logo.

The result is a car that is set to boast more than 1000bhp, high-end luxury and a plush driving experience.

Omoda E4

Available September 2026

Omoda – and its sister brand, Jaecoo– has made a huge impact on the UK sales charts since the Chinese marque arrived on these shores in 2024, and now the firm is looking to consolidate that success with its latest model, the Omoda E4.

Set to provide a new entry point to Omoda’s electric line-up, below the E5, the E4 will be sold alongside the plug-in hybrid 4 SHS to rival models like the Hyundai IONIQ 3 and Skoda Epiq.

Excitingly, the E4 represents a new style direction for Omoda – known as ‘Cyber Mecha - which has evidently used models like the Lamborghini Urus for inspiration with its sharp lines and edgy profile.

While finer details about the powertrain will be confirmed nearer launch, the Omoda E4 is expected to be priced competitively at around £27k.

Renault Twingo

Available Early 2027

While the UK never got the first-generation Renault Twingo – a car that helped mobilise many in its native France – we will get the reborn and rebooted new model later in 2026.

Much like the critically acclaimed Renault 5, the French marque has used the original Twingo as inspiration for the revived version… and not just in the cute exterior and interior design.

Indeed, the new Twingo – much like its ancestor - will be pitched as a funky, frugal and affordable city car that puts low running costs and value-for-money at its core without sacrificing any of that feelgood factor.

Skoda Epiq

Available to Order July 2026

The snowballing shift to electric power has seen Skoda establish itself as one of the automotive market’s most notable success stories in recent years, which explains why it is launching not one, but two significant new EVs in the next few months.

The first to arrive will be the Skoda Epiq, which will slot under the Elroq as Skoda’s most affordable zero-emission model.

Based on the same platform as the Volkswagen ID. Polo and CUPRA Raval, the Epiq is distinguished from its sister models by taking on a small SUV form that will see it go up against the likes of the Ford Puma Gen-E and Kia EV2.

As such, the Epiq gets a rugged finish amid familiar Skoda styling cues, while the interior is a quality blend of sophistication and minimalism.

Power is sourced from a 37kWh or 52kWh battery, known as the Epiq 40 and Epiq 55.

The Epiq 40 is quoted with a combined range of 190-miles, making it best suited for urban driving, while the Epiq 55 has higher density and supports longer driving range of up to 272-miles (WLTP).

Skoda Peaq

Available to Order September 2026

At the other end of the scale to the Epiq, the Skoda Peaq will become the new flagship in the Czechia manufacturer’s EV line-up.

Not only that, the Peaq is the largest car Skoda has ever produced, a status that reflected by it becoming one of the few electric models on the market to offer a full seven-seat interior.

Debuting a fresh interpretation of Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design direction, the Peaq is a handsome, muscular looker on the outside, while the interior – referred to as a ‘Mobile Living Room’ - is lavishly appointed and brimming with clever features including interchangeable storage solutions and a flexible boot layout.

Moreover, the Peaq offers up to 395 miles of range (WLTP) from its 86kWh battery, with rapid charging from 10%-80% in just 28 minutes

Volkswagen ID. Polo

Available to Order August, Arriving Late 2026

The iconic VW Polo gets its first electric variant later this year with the launch of the Volkswagen ID. Polo.

Originally set to wear the ID.2 name in line with Volkswagen’s electric-only ID-badged line-up, the decision to pivot to the more recognisable ID. Polo moniker is indicative of a new tactic to merge electric power with the manufacturer’s popular mainstream range.

This is not a replacement for the ICE Polo and while that and the ID. Polo share a familiar family appearance, they are easily distinguishable aesthetically.

There will be a choice of either a 37kWh or a 52kWh battery, with the former using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and generating 114bhp for 196-miles of range return.

The 37kWh battery will also be available in Life and Style models but pack extra power at 133bhp and return 204-miles of range.

Upgrading to the more advanced 52kWh battery, which uses Nickel Manganese Cobalt, and power increases to 208bhp, while returning 283-miles of range. As a reference, the new Kia EV2 returns 281-miles of range and the Renault 5 E-Tech manages 252-miles.

There will also be a VW ID. Polo GTI hot hatch generating 223bhp for a 0-62mph spring in less than seven seconds.

Volkswagen ID. Cross

Available Early 2027

Following on from the ID. Polo, the Volkswagen ID. Cross is loosely positioned as an electric-powered equivalent to the popular ICE-equipped Volkswagen T-Cross.

Two battery options will be available from launch – a 37kWh lithium iron phosphate pack – offered in 114bhp and 133bhp trims - and a more advanced 52kWh NMC unit that generates 208bhp and will accelerate to 62mph in just over seven seconds.

In terms of range, the entry points in the line-up will see the ID. Cross travel upwards of 195-miles (WLTP) before needing a recharge, while the bigger unit will go all the way to 273-miles on a combined cycle.

Aesthetically, the ID. Cross builds on the design language presented by the ID. Polo, albeit within a taller, more rugged SUV profile.

A raised ride-height and subtle body protection give the ID. Cross some road presence, while there is devil in the detail too, notably the full-width light bar on the front grille, the floating roofline and the tiered body-coloured inserts that comprise the C-pillar.
