New Kia XCeed Deals

The Kia XCeed is a crossover-coupe built on a compact hatchback footprint, giving you raised, rugged-styled looks and a low, sporty roofline without the bulk of a full SUV. It sits as the style-led alternative in Kia's range, based on the Ceed hatchback but reworked with a higher stance, protective cladding and a sloping tail.

Every new Kia XCeed uses a single 1.0 T-GDi 48V mild-hybrid petrol engine, offered with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. All versions are front-wheel drive with five seats, and the range runs across three grades: Pure, GT-Line, and the flagship GT-Line S, which Kia has yet to fully release.

That focused line-up keeps the decision simple. Pure covers the essentials with a generous kit list, and GT-Line adds the sporty styling and comfort touches most buyers are drawn to. Whichever you choose, you get Kia's seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty behind it.

At 4,395mm long, the XCeed is closer in footprint to a family hatchback than a full-size crossover. It slots into tight multi-storey bays and terraced-street parking that larger rivals wrestle with, while still giving you the higher seating position and road presence that draw people to the class.

Explore the current new Kia range to see where the XCeed sits, or read on for a full breakdown below.

Overview of the Kia XCeed

Kia positions the XCeed as its crossover-coupe: a raised, sportier reworking of the Ceed hatchback for buyers who want standout design over outright practicality. It shares its underpinnings with the Ceed but stands taller, wears crossover styling, and finishes in a coupe-like roofline that sets it apart from conventional small SUVs.

Under the bonnet, that design sits on a single, efficient powertrain. The 1.0 T-GDi 48V mild-hybrid petrol engine produces 113bhp and 200Nm, paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The DCT adds paddle shift levers, so you can take manual control of gear changes without lifting your hands from the D-Cut steering wheel.

Those transmission choices bracket the range's character. The manual keeps things traditional and returns up to 47.0mpg combined, while the DCT delivers smooth, clutch-less automatic driving for a small trade in economy. Both cars reach a 113mph top speed, and both draw on the same 48V system to trim running costs in everyday traffic.

Backing all of it is Kia's ownership package: a fully transferable seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty, a five-year paint warranty, and 12-year anti-perforation cover. Free seven-year Kia Connect services and the MyKia app round out a new Kia XCeed that's built to be lived with rather than merely admired.

New Kia XCeed Interior

Inside, the Kia XCeed interior balances a sporty driving position with genuine everyday usability. A 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation system sits at the centre of every grade, running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Pure and GT-Line pair it with a 4.2-inch driver display.

That tech-led layout carries through to the details. The D-Cut steering wheel, glossy black gear panel and thin-bezel rear-view mirror give the cabin a focused, driver-first feel. Black cloth and artificial-leather upholstery comes as standard, and front heated seats and a heated steering wheel arrive from GT-Line upward, keeping winter commutes comfortable.

Comfort gives way to carrying capacity when you need it. The XCeed offers 380 litres of boot space with the rear seats upright, already competitive for the class. Fold them down and that grows to 1,332 litres, enough for flat-pack furniture or a bike with the front wheel off, the kind of occasional big-load job that might otherwise mean borrowing a van.

Charging is well covered across the range too, with USB-C ports front and rear on every grade to keep phones and other devices topped up on the move.

New Kia XCeed Exterior

The exterior is where the XCeed earns its looks, trading a boxy SUV outline for a lower, more expressive crossover-coupe shape. It measures 4,395mm long, 1,826mm wide and 1,495mm tall, on a 2,650mm wheelbase, so the raised ride height and body cladding sit over hatchback-sized proportions rather than SUV ones.

Those proportions are dressed differently by grade. Pure rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with LED headlights and daytime running lights. GT-Line steps up to 18-inch alloys, a gloss-black and dark-chrome grille, LED front fog lights and honeycomb LED rear lights with sequential indicators. Privacy glass, gloss-black roof rails and chrome skid plates complete the GT-Line's sharper, sportier stance.

Colour brings the design to life across six finishes: Fusion White, Lunar Silver, Phantom Black, Dark Penta Metal, Magma Red and Blue Flame. Phantom Black keeps things understated and hides the crossover cladding well. Of the six, though, Blue Flame arguably suits the car's sharp lines best, giving the LED signatures more contrast to play off than the paler shades.

Kia XCeed Engines and Performance

The new Kia XCeed keeps its engine range simple, with one 1.0 T-GDi 48V mild-hybrid petrol unit offered in two transmissions. The table below compares the performance and economy figures for the manual and dual-clutch automatic.

The 1.0 T-GDi runs a 48V mild-hybrid system, which uses a compact starter-generator to support the petrol engine under load and smooth the stop-start. In practice that means a quieter pull-away and a useful trim to running costs, without you ever plugging anything in. For drivers who want crossover style on a sensible fuel bill, it does much of the everyday work a hybrid badge implies.

On the road, the figures are modest rather than thrilling, but that suits the XCeed's brief as an easy-going everyday car. The manual reaches 0-62mph in 11.9 seconds and the DCT in 12.2, both topping out at 113mph. The DCT is the one to have if your driving is mostly urban, swapping a fraction of economy for genuinely relaxed, clutch-less progress in traffic.
