BMW Teases New All-Electric i5 Models
BMW has revealed some exciting details on the eighth-generation 5 Series, due to launch later this year.
Two new electric models are set to hit the range, as BMW cements its commitment to a new era of mobility. Being at the forefront of electric innovation, you can expect something special.
Get ready for the i5 executive saloon and the i5 Touring estate.
The New BMW 5 Series
The BMW 5 Series is something of an icon in the executive car class. First introduced in 1972, it has firmly established itself on the roads over the last 50 years.
It is known for its smart styling, luxurious interiors, and exceptional driving dynamics. Available in saloon and estate body styles - with an M Sport option too - it’s a modern car that’s fit for business or pleasure.
Featuring new styling, technology, and powertrain options, the eighth-generation 5 Series is set to be the best yet. For the first time within the range, an all-electric saloon will be available, the i5.
Though that’s not all - an electric M Sport version of the new 5 Series Saloon will also be released.

“The all-electric BMW i4 M50 shows how BMW blends dynamic performance and electric mobility to perfection. It was the best-selling BMW M model worldwide in 2022. A fully electric Performance model from BMW M GmbH will also be included in the new BMW 5 Series Sedan line-up.”
A new BMW 5 Series Touring will also be made available, with full electric power. This will be ideal for those looking to reduce their emissions, yet still require plenty of carrying capacity.
