Skoda Peaq new release

Skoda has pulled the wraps off its largest ever model, the all-electric seven-seat Skoda Peaq SUV.

Slotting in at the top of Skoda’s growing range of electric vehicle offerings, the Peaq arrives to build on the runaway success of the erstwhile flagship, the Skoda Enyaq.

It sees Skoda expand its electric offerings to four models, with the Peaq joining the Enyaq, Elroq and the recently revealed Epiq.

Reaching UK showrooms with prices set to start at £51,980* OTR, the Peaq measures almost 4.9-metres in length and can accommodate seven adults, while the boot provides an immense 2,075-litres of space with the second and third rows folded.

From the outset, the Peaq is the latest Skoda model to adopt its ‘Modern Solid’ design signature, which incorporates a glossy black ‘Tech-Deck’ front-end with vertical slats and LED backlighting.

Moreover, Skoda has emphasised the size of the Peaq with a muscular shoulder line leading to a sharply-styled rear-end, completing what is overall a chunky, classy appearance.

Inside, the Peaq places an emphasis on family-friendly versatility, a traditional strength of the Czechia-based company.

As well as offering a full complement of seats – making it one of the few electric seven-seaters on the market – the Peaq features 299-litres of boot space with all perches in place, rising to 890-litres with the lattermost row folded into the floor. In addition, there is a 37-litre frunk under the hood that can accommodate charging cables and the parcel shelf when not in use.

The Peaq also gets a lavishly appointed interpretation of Skoda’s interior design trend to accentuate its status as the range flagship.

The finish of the interior can be dictated by the choice of five Design Selections to suit your style, including two variations on Suite Design, plus Loft Design, Lodge Design and SportLine Design.

Labelled by Skoda as a “mobile living room”, the Peaq offers an expansive 2.1 metre panoramic roof, leaving the space light and airy. Dynamic Shade Control acts as a virtual sunshade, allowing you to control the lighting in the car perfectly, along with the car’s subtle ambient lighting. The Peaq is available with a Relax Package which includes ergonomic massage seats, leg rests and Sonos sound system and more for the ultimate calming environment.

The Peaq offers up to 395 miles of range (WLTP) from its 86kWh battery, with rapid charging from 10%-80% in just 28 minutes. The Peaq is capable of bidirectional charging meaning you can charge your other electric equipment, such as an e-bike or even a caravan according to Skoda.

A handily customisable 13.6-inch vertical infotainment system takes centre stage, head-up display. As well as a host of controls within the touchscreen, there are physical controls for climate included on the dash. There are smart additions throughout the cabin, like dual wireless MagSafe charging pads, a USB port in the rearview mirror for a dashcam, an umbrella slot in the door and multiple USB ports throughout the interior for passenger use too.
