Facelift Volkswagen Scirocco now available to order
The new facelifted Volkswagen Scirocco, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is now available to order ahead of first deliveries in October.
Prices for the revised version of the car start at £20,455 for the 1.4-litre TSI 123bhp manual and rise to £33,795 for the 2.0-litre TSI 276bhp Scirocco R with a DSG automatic gearbox.
Externally, updates include new headlights and rear LED lights, as well as revised bumper styling featuring aerodynamic blades. There are also new alloy wheel designs.
As on the Golf, the Volkswagen logo badge now has an additional purpose, functioning as the tailgate release handle.
Engine options include six new turbocharged direct-injection petrol and diesel units all returning between 35.3mpg and 67.3mpg.
All models in the range (except the R) now feature BlueMotion Technology modifications, meaning they come as standard with stop/start and also brake energy recuperation systems.
Inside, the dashboard has been updated to include a chronometer, charge pressure and oil temperature gauges in a tribute to the 1974 Scirocco.
There are four trim levels available: Scirocco, GT, R-Line and R.
Scirocco features a touchscreen multimedia system, SD card and USB ports, plus Bluetooth, air conditioning, 17-inch Long Beach alloy-wheels and a multifunction steering wheel.
The GT includes an upgraded sat-nav system, climate control, dark-tinted rear windows, front and rear parking sensors, a black roof lining, chequered flag dash inserts and aluminium-look pedals.
The R-Line has bumpers of a unique design, side skirts, 19-inch Talladega alloy wheels and carbon-look dash inserts.
And the top spec, Scirocco R, comes with a full unique exterior styling kit, chrome-look door mirror caps, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights; 19-inch Cadiz alloy wheels, a 10mm lower sports suspension and dynamic chassis control.
