A Service Advisor at Vertu Honda Newcastle has been recognised on a national stage after being named ‘Colleague of the Year’ in her division in the Vertu Masters Awards.
Trudi Smith was named as winner in the Honda division in the annual awards, which are now in their 15th year and celebrate the highest-performing non-management colleagues working for the fourth largest automotive retailer group in the UK.
In total, more than 7,000 employees across the UK compete for recognition in the awards, a large number of which work within Vertu’s expansive Honda network - which stands as the largest in Europe.
Trudi has built an outstanding reputation over nearly two decades with the business, consistently delivering exceptional customer service and playing a key role in maintaining strong customer satisfaction scores for the dealership.
Known for her proactive approach and positive attitude, she is a trusted and valued member of the team who regularly goes the extra mile to support both colleagues and customers.
Alongside picking up her Masters Award trophy, Trudi will also be invited to attend a special Long Service Event later in the year alongside fellow Masters Award winners.
Trudi Smith said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this award. I have always taken great pride in looking after our customers and supporting the team, so to be recognised in this way really means a lot.
“I have worked with some fantastic people over the years, and this is very much a reflection of the team around me as well.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “It is fantastic to see Trudi rewarded in this way as an experienced and valued member of our Vertu Honda Newcastle team.
“She continues to make a real difference at the dealership on a daily basis and should be proud of this achievement.”
