New Jeep Cherokee set for Geneva debut
Just one of the many models that will be making its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show is the new Jeep Cherokee.
The latest version of the popular mid-size SUV will come with new interior and exterior design and will be the first model in its class to be delivered with nine-speed automatic transmission.
It is the fourth generation of the machine and it continues the "go anywhere, do anything" mentality that previous models have achieved.
Under the bonnet can be found a 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel engine, capable of delivering 170 horsepower.
According to Jeep, the latest model "raises the bar" for other models in its segment, thanks to the sleek and athletic design, enhanced on-road driving dynamics and handling, and the legendary handling associated with the Jeep 4x4. It is also extremely safe, having picked up the 'best in class' rating from Euro NCAP.
It will be available in both a two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive version, offering excellent choice for the particular driver's needs.
The car remains as rugged as ever, thanks to a powerful stance and an aggressive wheel-to-body proportion.
It also includes the classic Jeep grille - a seven-slotted design with a crisp, horizontal snap - and a 'waterfall' bonnet.
The class continues on the inside, with ergonomically designed seats, covered in Nappa leather, as well as a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and wireless charging pad for mobile devices.
Furthermore, it also comes equipped with Jeep's infotainment system, UConnect. An 8.4-inch touchscreen allows drivers to control multimedia features within the car, such as the radio station or a choice of MP3 music. This allows for control of the navigation system too.
